Swiftwater Rescue Basics

Prerequisites: Class II boater, Previous First-aid Experience

 $60/person

Every river runner needs to know what to do in the event of an emergency.  Are you prepared?  In this course you will learn important rescue skills that all whitewater enthusists need to know.  Practice basic whitewater swimming techniques, throw bag methods, shallow water crossings and how to use other basic rescue equipment. Practical scenarios will assist in you learning the more technical aspects of river rescue in this evening course.  

Cancellation (Refund) Policy:

Classes in Colorado (kayaking lesson, open pool sessions, avalanche, snowshoeing, etc.)

If you need to cancel your reservation, you may do so in advance, 5 business days (or more).  However, your refund will incur a 10% cancellation fee. 

If you need to cancel your reservation within 2 business days of the class departure date, funds are committed and you will be charged the entire amount for the class. NO REFUNDS!

Refunds will ONLY be given if Renaissance Adventure Guides is unable to provide the class as described (excluding location changes due to water level or weather fluctuations).

You can reschedule your class (subject to availability) without any penalties as long as you contact Renaissance Adventure Guides within 2 business days (during normal office hours) of your class departure date.
