If you are excited to learn paddling but hesitant to jump in a hard-shell plastic kayak then duckies are for you. These inflatable beauties are stable, maneuverable and fun to paddle. Best of all, if you get knocked over you simply fall out of the boat - there are no sprayskirts or straps to hold you in. You can take any of our river courses in a ducky instead of a kayak at no additional charge. Since the learning curve on a ducky is faster than a kayak we can take you to faster moving water that much quicker – thus duckies make the perfect craft for a family day on the water, company outings, bachelor/bachelorette parties, and teambuilding events. Not sure if duckies are for you? Give us a call and we will see how to custom tailor a trip to meet your needs. Class II and III trips available.

Recommended Gear List
Bring the same personal equipment that you would wear to the beach:
• Sunscreen
• Sunglasses with retention straps (Croakies, etc.)
• Swimsuit or similar water clothing
• Wetsuit booties or river sandals (must stay on when you swim
• A hat
• Lots of water
• Large lunch (food may be transported down the river in a dry bag, no glass containers)
• Warm, dry clothing for when you are off the water
• Under Armour, fleece or other synthetic clothing (no cotton)
If you have your own wetsuit, booties, Under Armour, fleece or other appropriate water clothing, please bring it. If you do not we will provide a wetsuit, splash jacket and booties, but your own personal gear will likely fit best.
Locations and Dates
Duckies are available as an option on any of our scheduled river lessons at no additional charge - you must note that you will need a ducky when making the reservation to confirm availability. We can schedule a private ducky trip for you at our private course rates any day of the week on South Platte, Clear Creek or Colorado waters. Private half-day, full-day and multi-day trips are available. Group discounts may apply, please call our office for more information.
