Prerequisites: Able to swim and have fun
Price: $100/person
5:1 maximum student to instructor ratio
Minimum of 3 family members needed to run this lesson
Treat your family to a fun day out as you spend the day learning how to kayak in the pristine setting of the lake. The curriculum for the class will generally follow the Introduction to River Kayaking (Lesson #1) course, but we can tailor it to your individual family needs with emphasis on fun and learning together as a family. Have fun and play games as you spend the morning learning about wet exits, paddle strokes, and the hip snaps. Relax and stretch in the sun to enjoy your lunch. The afternoon is spent reviewing bracing and hip snaps, followed by a clinic on how to roll your boat. This course is offered at Chatfield State Park, Boulder Reservoir, and Union Reservoir in Longmont.
