Dear Everyone from Aug 29-30 Glenwood/Colorado River Trip,

Sorry this is so late........been a busy week.

I wanted to send you a follow up email because I had so much fun with you all and that you guys truly ROCKED!  I was very impressed with everyone's skills, and by the second day you guys were just tearing up the place!!!

I wanted to say thanks for joining us and choosing RA Guides this weekend. Everyone was fantastic and I really enjoyed teaching each of you.  The weather was great, perfect for camping, and nice and pretty warm for kayaking.

A couple of things I want to tell you about:  the first one is about your Continuing Education!   You guys have gotten a good feel for moving water now, and you taken a basic/intro class.  So next would be mastering your roll, so you feel a little more comfortable on the river:

Also, please consider our Open Pool session on Tue and Thu nights at the Golden Rec Center.  You can pay a $10 entry fee (to us) and if you need gear, we also rent for $10 per session.  It’s a great way to practice everything you have learned (or are about to learn).   Just keep in mind reservations are required and these sessions fill up very quickly so make them well in advance.  You can do so by calling the office (number is below) or by using this link:  http://raguides.com/kayaking-school/pool-classes/open-pool/

Here are the pictures I took from this weekend:

I would also suggest a kayak club where you can find other people of your paddling ability, and the clubs usually offer classes or trips on different levels of rivers so that you can build up your skills. I would recommend Colorado Whitewater:

http://www.eddyflower.com/Coyakers.aspx a forum for Colorado paddlers.

Then there is

And these sites have tons of information/forums/gear for sale / river flows, etc:

http://www.americanwhitewater.org/ (this is a good organization to join)

Anytime you need to purchase gear, please visit Golden River Sports.  They offer discounts to all our students so tell them we sent you:  www.GoldenRiverSports.net

Please don't be afraid to contact us, and speak to any one of our guides at RA for any questions you might have.

P.S.  Someone (Annie?)  left a bottle of sun screen 50 in my dry bag along with a pair of girl's shorts (black with green and white strips) brand name Dolfin.   Please contact me at aviyaker@yahoo.com if they are yours. Thanks again!

Sincerely,

Daniel Lundberg
