The Low Down
Panama sits smack dab in the middle of two continents and two oceans with mountain ranges, beach front, islands and jungle. If you want water adventure, Panama has plenty to offer. Explore the San Blas Archipelago by sea kayak - more than 350 islands are spread across the eastern sea board. Paddle from island to island in the turquoise waters and white sand beaches. If you prefer the jungle then why not try your hand at white-water rafting.
About our Sea Kayaking Tours on Kuna Yala
Spend five days kayaking through the San Blas Archipelago. The turquoise waters and white sand beaches are both peaceful and captivating. Learn effective kayak touring technique and relax to the rhythm of the paddle as you hop from island to island. This is an exercise in deluxe camping - all equipment will be brought with us in waterproof containers on our sea kayaks and support boat. The support boat remains with the trip to provide safety and a means of making the trip more enjoyable - you'll barely notice it though as we will rendezvous with it only at camp. Relax in the shade of palm trees, snorkel in the warm water and experience another culture.
Meet and learn about the Kuna Natives - this is their homeland that you are visiting: "Kuna Yala". The Kunas comprise their own sovereign nation within Panama with their own culture, language and laws. These beautiful people are well known for their molas - rich, colorful fabrics that they manufacture, wear and sell. You can always tell a Kuna woman by her colorful dress. The Kuna people strive to preserve their own identity and cultural heritage. It is through their efforts to control their homeland that has kept this region as the pristine paradise that it is today.
